چکیده

A new approach to the Kolmogorov-Arnold-Moser theory concermng the existence of invariant ton having prescnbed frequencies îs presented It îs based on the Lagrangian formahsm m configuration space instead of the Hamiltonian formahsm in phase space used in earher approaches In particular, the construction of the invariant ton avoids the composition of infinitely many coordinate transformations The regulanty results obtained are apphed to invariant curves of monotone twist maps The Lagrangian approach has been prompted by a récent study of minimal foliations for vanational problems on a torus by J Moser

Investigating the Effect of Spatial Configuration Components on Security Indicators in the Iranian Bazar Using the Theory of Space Arrangement (Case Study: Historical Bazar Sera’s of Borujard)

Security is a very important issue in the development and dynamics of urban spaces. One of the areas in which security is considered very important in its development is the economic sector, and bazar security is essential as a clear manifestation of economic activities. The Iranian Bazar is one of the important urban spaces and its economic beating heart, and it consists of different spaces, o...

Description Theory and Approach about Space Syntax Methodology in Urban Design Process

Nowadays space is considered to be a net of connections between different areas. The questions how to delineate its character and how it is possible to objectively compare two spaces is a matter under consideration. This was the reason for creating new theories about the structure of space. Space syntax analysis (SSA) or simply Space Syntax defines a number of theories and research areas devo...

Kam Theory: the Legacy of Kolmogorov’s 1954 Paper

Kolmogorov-Arnold-Moser (or kam) theory was developed for conservative dynamical systems that are nearly integrable. Integrable systems in their phase space usually contain lots of invariant tori, and kam theory establishes persistence results for such tori, which carry quasi-periodic motions. We sketch this theory, which begins with Kolmogorov’s pioneering work.

The Lax-Oleinik semi-group: a Hamiltonian point of view

The Weak KAM theory was developed by Fathi in order to study the dynamics of convex Hamiltonian systems. It somehow makes a bridge between viscosity solutions of the Hamilton-Jacobi equation and Mather invariant sets of Hamiltonian systems, although this was fully understood only a posteriori. These theories converge under the hypothesis of convexity, and the richness of applications mostly com...
